Table Massage

This modality requires a light application of lotion, crème, or oil. This massage will stimulate circulation within the body and moisturize the skin. Tight muscles, injuries, pain and tension can be addressed while the body completely relaxes. Fluid Swedish strokes are used in this modality of massage to manipulate the muscles and soft tissues of the body.

Deep Tissue Massage

This modality uses a light application of crème or work can be done dry. Slow, deep massage strokes are used to loosen the fascia and work tight muscles. Specific injuries, pain and tension in any areas of the body will be addressed. Stretching techniques may also be used to isolate specific muscles which assists with further release in an area. This modality is not reccomended for individuals that bruise easily and are not accustom to regular bodywork.

Thai Massage

This modality of massage is performed on the floor. A large mat is put out and the receiver lies on their back, fully clothed. The therapist uses deep pressure along the "Sen Lines" of the body, opening the energy channels and allowing the circulation to actively flow. Once the channels are open, stretching commences. The stretches are designed to loosen joints and muscles allowing for a greater range of motion in the body. The stretches are similar to Yoga postures and the same principal of breathing into the body makes this massage so effective. A deep meditative state is perceived allowing the body and mind to relax while the bodywork is being performed.

Hot Stones Massage

This modality is actually a Swedish massage with the use of water-heated basalt stones. Large stones are placed on specific areas of the body allowing the muscles to absorb the heat and relax. Smaller stones are used simultaneously to massage the body with. Heat is what makes this modality of massage so beneficial! Any tension, aches, and injuries within the body are pre-treated with heated stones and then massaged. Essential oils may be added to the stone water creating an Aromatherapy treatment. This modality is not recommended for people with high blood pressure, history of stroke or any sensitivity to heat. Best if received in fall or winter.

Pregnancy Massage

This modality was designed with Mom in mind. During pregnancy, edema, sciatica, and fatigue are the most common symptoms related with pregnancy. Massage can assist with these issues making the pregnant-state more endurable. A light lotion, crème, or oil is used along with fluid Swedish massage strokes to increase the circulation within while the physical body rests. The receiver is side lying so that there is no pressure on the stomach and front side of the body. There are some contraindications to massage during pregnancy and a phone consultation is required prior to initial session.

Couples Massage

Two massage tables are set-up side by side in the same room. There is one therapist per person. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy or Craniosacral massage modalities may be used in a session, depending on the therapist. This massage is great for couples celebrating a special occasion. Come and relax in a serene atmoshpere with your loved one by your side.

Reflexology Foot Bath

This pampering foot treatment can be added to any massage service or received independently. The feet are soaked in a warm, bubbly tonic of Epsom salts and tea leaves. An exfoliating scrub is applied and rough areas of feet are buffed or sanded. All the Reflexology points of the dorsal and plantar surfaces of the feet are manipulated. Finally a thick moisturizer is massaged onto feet and lower legs. Please note; this treatment is not a pedicure and toe nails are not clipped or painted.

Chair Massage

The recipient of this massage does not need to de-robe and is seated in an ergonomically correct chair. The upper body is worked on while in seated position. Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue or Swedish techniques are used to alleviate tension in the back, neck, shoulders, and arms. This modality of massage is great for office employees, parties, events and many other venues.

Reiki

This Japanese form of bodywork does not manipulate the muscles in a massage sort of way, but facilitates for the energy field that is present with every human body. The practitioner lightly lays the hands on the receiver’s body at energy centers or chakras. Reiki treats the whole body including the emotions, mind, and spirit. Reiki is not religious, it has no dogma, and there is nothing you need to “believe” in for this treatment to be successful. Reiki can be used in conjunction with other modalities of bodywork or independently. This modality is reccomended for individuals that cannot receive the physical muscle manipulation of a masssage.

Inversion Table

Hang upside down while your body is supported against a flat table. Feel the effects of gravity pulling your body in the opposite direction. While hanging, circulation is increased throughout the head and body while the spinal column decompresses. This reverse traction is beneficial for individuals with back problems or spinal column issues. There are contraindications to using this device, please consult with a therapist before using.
